With a series of much-hyped singles, Maroon 5 have collaborated with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Future and most recently SZA, with the album-announcing single “What Lovers Do.” The full album includes tracks with features from two more big names: Julia Michaels, who will be joining the band on tour, and A$AP Rocky.
"I think we were more hesitant to put on too many features on one of our albums, because we wanted it to be a Maroon 5 album,” guitarist James Valentine explained, regarding the number of guest appearances on their most recent album versus their more Maroon-5 focused earlier albums. "And I think maybe, six albums in, we’re kind of more open to everything.”
However, although it features a few new names jazzing up the mix, the album is very solidly everything you know and love Maroon 5 – full of bouncy rhythms, infectious hooks and vocal lines you can’t help but sing along to!
