Harry’s House keeps getting bigger, Harry Styles’ Love On Tour outing at the Kia Forum will turn the iconic concert venue into Harry’s House, which is also the title of his latest album. He is scheduled to perform a 15-night run from Sunday, October 23rd to Tuesday November 15th, 2022, with support from Ben Harper. Because clearly, 10 Harry Styles show in Los Angeles is not nearly enough! Harry Styles has added another five more Los Angeles concerts at the KIA Forum. The new tour dates include Oct. 23, 24, 26, 28, and 29. This is on top of Harry’s previously announced KIA Forum dates running, Oct. 31, Nov. 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14 and 15.
The international tour is in support of Harry Styles’ brand-new best-selling album, Harry’s House, which is shaping up to become one of the biggest albums of the year so far, if not the biggest. The new Harry Styles LP has already broken a record by eclipsing 146,000 copies in the US in its opening week, just in vinyl sales. Before it came out, he teased fans by saying, “It sounds like the biggest, and the most fun, but it’s by far the most intimate.”
Harry’s House is Harry Styles’ third studio album, and was released on May 20th, 2022, preceded by the singles “As It Was” and “Late Night Talking”, and features John Mayer playing lead guitar on the songs, “Cinema”, and “Daydreaming”. Harry explained how he came up with the album title saying, “the album is named after Haruomi Hosono, he had an album in the 70s called Hosono’s House, and I spent that chunk in Japan; I heard that record and I was like ‘I love that. It’d be really fun to make a record called Harry’s House’.” The album has been well received by critics, with Rolling Stone giving it 4 stars, American Songwriter giving it 4 and a half stars, Entertainment Weekly giving it an A−, and with Alexis Petridis of The Guardian writing that the album, “ticks a lot of the right boxes and has abundant charm, which makes it a perfect reflection of the pop star who made it.”
Harry Edward Styles is from Redditch, Worcestershire, England. He began his musical career in 2010 as a solo contestant on the British music competition series The X Factor where he was eliminated from the competition but brought back to join the English-Irish boy band, One Direction, along with Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. They went on to become one of the best-selling boy bands of all time having sold over 70 million records worldwide, and winning nearly 200 awards, including seven Brit Awards, four MTV Video Music Awards, six Billboard Music Awards, seven American Music Awards, and 28 Teen Choice Awards. One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016.
Harry began his solo career with the release of his self-titled debut album in 2017. Debuting at number 1 in the UK and the US and was one of the world’s top-ten best-selling albums of the year, and its lead single, “Sign of the Times”, topped the UK Singles Chart. Harry’s second album, Fine Line, in 2019, again debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 with the biggest ever first-week sales by an English male artist, gaining Harry his first American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Album and his first Juno Award for International Album of the Year, and was also the most recent album to be included in Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. Its fourth single, “Watermelon Sugar”, topped the Billboard Hot 100 and won Harry his second Brit Award.
