London born septet, Florence and the Machine emerged in 2007 and released their debut single, “Kiss with a Fist” a year later. The band went on to releasing the highly successful debut album Lungs, which also spawned their biggest hit, “Dog Days Are Over.” The song earned a staggering amount of success including six time platinum status in the US, making it one of the most groundbreaking indie rock singles to ever come out of the late 2000s. Florence and the Machine is a highly influential band that paved the way for many indie rock bands to follow suit. The septet has earned multiple number 1s in their almost two decade career, including a number 1 album on the BIllboard 200 with their 2015 work How Big How Blue How Beautiful. Over the years, Florence and the Machine has earned multiple accolades including multiple Grammy nominations and a Brit Award.
