The Kia Forum
This might be the most epic night of the entire Ma Vie World Tour. The Forum is back to being one of the premier LA venues, and that's why it's getting a performance from Doja Cat on Thursday, October 22nd. Expect all of the smoke and mirrors that you'd hope for at a Doja Cat concert. "New" tracks are also going to be a part of the performance. Although, to be fair, by the time she hits LA, you'll have been listening to songs from the Ma Vie album for a while!
Opening acts are TBD at this point! However, the first leg of the tour that covered Asia and Australia is a clear indication that Doja Cat is going to have some help when she hits the road stateside. The Kia Forum will be an extension of the mind of Doja Cat. Since the start of the 2020s, she's proven to be THE artist that's ahead of the curve. Learning how to mix her music with reels on TikTok and now brand promotion. All of these elements are also present in the live experience. We'll get to more of that in a bit, though! Just sticking to the music, this performance could be her deepest on a vocal level ever. At least two of the new tracks from the Vie album are already doing some great numbers with fans on streaming platforms. "Gorgeous" and "Jealous Type" look to be the go-to new songs. That could change, though, by the time Doja Cat makes it to LA!
Doja Cat has proven time and time again that she's a performer over a singer. That's not a knock on her tracks at all! When she hits the crowd with "Kiss Me" or "Paint the Town Red," there's no way to hide the real talent. However, this is one of the few live shows that's worth a look, even if these tracks aren't regulars on your playlists. The Doja Cat outfits, the hair, and anything that's around her are going to match the lights and the other visuals at this event. The performance has a wow factor that you can't find from your average performer.
You might be tempted to find a spot as close to the stage as possible. That certainly won't be a bad idea; the vibes in those sections are always top-notch. However, if you're up in the stands, particularly at The Forum, which isn't a massive venue, you might have a better view of the lights and the different visual elements that we talked about as being a major part of the show. Plus, from the stands, access to food, drinks, and bathroom breaks is a lot smoother. Something to think about as you go to pick your seats.
