The five member girl group debuted in 2022 under Source Music, a subsidiary of Hybe Entertainment. Members Sakura, Kim Chaewon, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Unchae all came from different backgrounds and entertainment companies. The group released the single, “Fearless.” They quickly became viral and gained significant attention from K-pop fans from across the globe. In their first year, the group was quick to gain plenty of recognition including winning Best Musician Award and Rookie of the Year at the Asia Artist Award and Seoul Music Award. In 2024, the same awarding body gave the group a Dasaeng Award (Performance of the Year) - the most prestigious award a South Korean music group or artist can ever receive.
