YG, Tyga, and Saweetie have been collaborating on music for quite a while. They’re undoubtedly some of the best in the hip hop scene right now. With music consistently rising at the top of the charts, these three are a force to be reckoned with. Individually, they all have their own promising careers as hip hop artists.
Two of Compton’s finest, YG and Tyga are linking up for a joint album. The announcement was made when they performed in Rolling Loud LA earlier this year. Since then, there’s been a steady stream of hood-certified new singles, including “Platinum” and “West Coast Weekend.”
Str8 To The Club Tour was announced shortly after, and it’s going to include YG’s rumored bae, Saweetie in the lineup. This is definitely going to be crazy - and you wouldn’t want to miss the biggest co-headlining tour of the year. They released a collaboration in 2020, “Money Mouf,” and more recently “Birthday.” There have been other songs featuring the three, including “Freak,” “Cash Money,” and “Platinum.”
Tyga’s most recent album, Legendary, was released in 2019. Meanwhile, Saweetie’s debut album, Pretty Bitch Music, which was originally supposed to drop in June 2021, has yet to arrive. “She’s coming. She’s still in the womb, I haven’t popped her out,” she told Rolling Stone back in October 2022. “I want to thank my fans for patiently waiting. It’s been a year. It’s been a while. I’ve been recording officially for a year, non-stop.”
For now, this is the closest fans are going to get to Saweetie’s debut album. So stay tuned!
